Centennial Tubas Spread Holiday Cheer at TUBACHRISTMAS

Last Friday, ten Centennial tuba players, accompanied by two middle school tuba players, joined dozens of other musicians by participating in TUBACHRISTMAS at Underground Atlanta.  This year is the 40th anniversary for TUBACHRISTMAS concerts which are presented throughout the world. TUBACHRISTMAS originated as both a celebration of the holidays and a way to improve public image for the tuba and euphonium.  Although the weather felt like spring, tuba players at the event jumped right into the spirit of the season for a large crowd of onlookers.

French Students Give Back to Community

Members of Centennial’s French Club met yesterday to assemble  gift bags and write notes to the 32  elderly residents who live at Tapestry Senior Living Facility on Holcomb Bridge Road.   To add to the spirit of the season, we sang holiday songs in French, sampled a traditional French BĂ»che de Noel,  and talked about holiday customs, while these Centennial elves put together the gift bags.  These students found joy in giving back and spreading joy in our community during this special time of year.
