Students Selected for All-State Band

Congratulations to Matthew Gilmore (10th grade) and Margaret Howell (12th grade) who were selected for the Georgia All-State Band.

 

Students Named to All-State Orchestra

 

On Saturday, over 900 orchestra students from around the state of Georgia arrived at Westminster School to compete for a coveted spot in the 2015 GMEA All-State Orchestra. From these students, fewer than half were selected to participate. Centennial High School had five students selected for this tremendous honor! Congratulations!

Students Finish Third in Statewide Contest

 

 

 

Congratulations to Audio Video Technology & Film students Duncan Hemauer and Jose Carrasquero on their 3rd place finish in Georgia Public Broadcasting's 2014 "Stop the Drop" initiative, an annual statewide video contest created by Georgia Public Broadcasting dedicated to preventing high school dropouts. Way to go guys!

Centennial High School Junior Civitan Members Provide Assist to Local Wheelchair Athletes

 

 

 

The Centennial High School Junior Civitan completed their first service project on Saturday.   Club members Hallie Rodney, Marlina Steinson, Brandi Thomas and Nick Bray assisted the Titans Wheelchair Sports program before and during their practice.   The volunteers helped transport wheelchairs to the gym floor, provided coaching and encouragement, and even participated in the action.    Brandi and fellow Centennial student David LeBaron starred for the Titans during the wheelchair handball scrimmage.
