Congratulations to Centennial teacher Chad Hoge. Out of 461 Georgia High Schools, Centennial's own Chad Hoge won the whole state!
 
 
Centennial Athletes Help Special Olympians
Earn Medals

 
 
Congratulations to Centennial sophomores Brandon Semones (#663) and Phillipe Lamarche (#1006) for their efforts at the Georgia Special Olympics Summer Games at Emory University.  The boys competed as unified partners, non-disabled peers of traditional Special Olympians, pairing with their teammates to take gold and silver in long distance running.

CHS HOSA Graduates Continue to Serve



HOSA graduates Cassidy Buck and Boyd Sutton remain dedicated after graduation!  Today the pair donated their time to teaching life saving skills to the Holcomb Bridge Middle School 6th graders for Survivor Day.

FBLA and 21st Century Leaders Fight Hunger

 


The members of Future Business Leaders of America and 21st Century Leaders want to thank all of you who gave to our Peanut Butter Food Drive.  With your assistance we were able to collect over 160 jars of peanut butter.  The peanut butter is being sent to a Roswell area food pantry.  Thanks again, as we work to fight hunger in our community.

                                                                                                        

Leader Academy Donates to Homestretch



Last week the Centennial Chick Fil-A Leader Academy sponsored a fun afternoon and evening of Moe’s chips and salsa plus Bingo.  The group raised $350 for Homestretch, an organization providing help to the homeless. Members are pictured above with their sponsors, Ms. Michael (left) and Ms. Fudal (right).

 

CHS Students Win in French Competition




Centennial students had an excellent showing at Le Grand Concours, the National French Contest, an annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. Students of French in grades 1-12, in all 50 states and abroad, take a written test and compete against students with similar educational background for prizes.

Burney Elected District Chair


 

Centennial choral director, Chelsea Burney, was recently elected the District V Choral Chair for the next two year term.  District V includes Fulton County Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, and local private schools.  Congratulations, Ms. Burney!

 

 

 

 

CHS Cadets Join Roswell FD for Ceremony



Cadets MacKenzy Davis and Noah Goodwin were a part of a joint Color Guard with the Roswell Fire Department at the Roswell 65th Annual National Day of Prayer Ceremony at the Roswell City Hall on Thursday May 5th, 2016.

 

 

Centennial AVTF Department Accomplishes
Industry Certification

 

 

Congratulations to Mr. Buechner for many hours of hard work and dedication to achieve industry certification for the CHS Audio Visual Technology Film Department.   The Media Education Foundation presented the award to the AVTF program at Centennial, after the team found the program to be strong and well-implemented; the facilities were found to be admirably well equipped and organized.

 

 

 

 

AVTF Produces L.I.F.E. Video




In one of the CHS AVTF Department’s recent projects, Tommy Fuentes , Julia Couch, Gillie Barber, and Mr. Buechner travelled to the Ritz Carlton, Georgia State, Siemens, Verizon, and Kimberly-Clark to film the L.I.F.E. Program, the work program for our CBI students. The picture above is the CHS crew with CBI students who work at Kimberly-Clark. The link will take you to the video they produced.
