Business Students Practice Entrepreneurship

The Introduction to Business students planned and participated in a Mock Wedding, as a culminating real-world activity for their Entrepreneurship and Leadership units.  Students created businesses that could be used in an actual wedding.  Businesses were set up as sole proprietorships and included jewelry, shoes, web design, catering, bridal, photography, florist, printing, and even marriage counseling, etc…  Major components of each company were development of mission and vision statements and a utilization of business and management functions.  The Mock Wedding ended with a catered reception from Kroger, Ippolito's, and Olive Garden.  A grand time was had by all of the participants.
