CHS Student Receives $2500 Grant

for Directed Studies

 

 

Elika Upadhyay was selected as a recipient for a $2500 grant from ANNPower, a program partnered with Ann Taylor and Vital Voices that specializes in investing in future women leaders that are teens. With her grant and her work in TAG Directed Studies, she will provide expectant mothers in a low socioeconomic status that may not be able to provide for their child by giving them what is called a baby starter pack, which includes a small mattress, cover, 3 pairs of clothes, blanket, socks, bibs, caps, washcloths, and diapers.
