Centennial Chorus Hosts Korean Composer

Jihoon Park, world renowned as the most active choral composer and conductor in South Korea, visited Ms. Burney and Centennial chorus students yesterday. His compositions have been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Grand National Concert Hall in China, the Seoul Arts Center, the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and others.

Caroline Goldstein, choral director at Haynes Bridge, is hosting Mr. Park this week, while he observes middle and high school chorus programs.  Connected through the American Choral Directors’ Association, Mr. Park will be in Roswell Monday – Wednesday then attend the American Choral Directors’ Association Choral Convention in Nashville.

Pictured are Mr. Park (back row second from left), Ms. Burney (back row second from right), and a group of choral students who were practicing for the spring musical.
