Boys’ Track Team Earns Seven Medals at State

 

 

Congratulations to the Region Champion Boys’ Track Team for their performance at the State Meet. The boys finished 15^th in the state and came home with 7 medals overall as every athlete that qualified for State made the podium. Alex Richemond led the way with 3 medals. Alex repeated as State Runner-up in the long jump setting a new school record jump of 23 feet 10 and ¾ inches. Alex also medaled in the 100 meter dash and was joined on the podium by 4 by 100 meter relay teammates Torre Hutchins, Mekhi Richardson, and Christian Robinson. The relay team finished 8^th in the state with a school record time of 42.00 seconds. Rounding off the scoring for the Knights was Josiah Robinson in the 300 hurdles. This was Josiah’s 4^th consecutive year at the State Meet and Josiah earned his 1^st State medal with his 6^th place finish. Great job, gentlemen, and congratulations on a fantastic season!
