Chemistry Students Win County STEM Contest
Congratulations to Stephanni Prelac and her students Sam Turrentine (left) and Cael Willis (right) who won the NELC STEM Day Competition. Sam and Cael built a water molecule structure using only gum drops and toothpicks.  Their structure held at 17 inches for over 30 seconds, which made it the tallest standing structure submitted to the county for National STEM day.  Ms. Prelac won a $150.00 shopping spree for classroom STEM materials.
